Dakurah Alaska (MC Alaska)
Upper West multiple award winning radio presenter and MC, Dakurah Alaska popularly known in showbiz as MC Alaska has announced that he is not ready to entertain any ''THANK YOU'' show. Alaska made this known on his Facebook page which has since divided opinions from fans, colleagues and enthusiasts. Though some call the move a wise one, others has called on the veteran MC to rescind his decision.
. He wrote '' I'm Done with anything music for now, if you need me to promote your events, track or anything related to music, come and pay and let's talk business. The Free Hours are over.''  He further threatened to report anyone who illegally billed or mentioned his name in a program or show without his consent to the police for what he term as ''invading my privacy.'' He has therefore cautioned the general public especially show and event organizers to avoid mentioning or tagging his name in shows banners or jingles in promo since that will bring a thug of war between them. He said ''Anyone that will tag me anything Upper West Music Industry and mention my name, Then I may invite the Police for invading my privacy.''

MC Alaska citing reasons for his ''No To Free Show'' tag, he indicates the lack of professionalism and ungratefulness on the part of show organizers meted out to him and other MCs. Many were taken aback by the claim but one of the most decorated and renowned DJ, MC and Coach, Salifu Subur known in entertainment as DJ Faabu supported his colleague call for the abortion of free shows citing the same reasons. According to Alaska, organizers failed to appreciate the efforts of his magnificent role he played in the success story of heir programs. Yet, many turn to be insensitive to him.

Dakurah Alaska currently works at Home Radio as a presenter and a show host. He has won multiple awards in Upper West for his fine art. He has also received several other nominations consecutively in the country for his excellent work notably the Radio and Television Personality Awards (RTP Awards) in the Radio Personality of The Year Northern Sector category.
His professionalism, dedication, selfless and unmatched attitude towards his work has seen him been to Pupeili Fm, Sungmaale fm as head of events and currently occupies the same position at Home Radio in Wa, Upper West Regional capital. He hosted the Maccasio Dagomba Girl Concert as well as the recently held Upper West Homecoming Festival which have Fancy Gadam as the headline artist. He host programs such as the Home Ryde, Cambuu Driver among others.
MC Alaska is also an actor and a comedian

MC Alaska work is not limited to the comfort of the studio and radio only, he is a talented actor, footballer, DJ and a comedian as well. This versatility made him one of his kind in Upper West Region.
